Description

We are seeking a dependable and professional individual for a new Part-time Accounts Payable Clerk in Orillia, ON. 

On the job, the successful candidate will process and review invoices, ensure payment accuracy, and manage accounts payable systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial management, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Great Plains, and strong organizational skills.

Hours: 20-24 hours per week
Salary: $25 per hour

Accounts Payable Clerk Duties:

  • Process and review approved invoices for payment.
  • Compile and sort source documents (POs, invoices, statements, etc.) for accuracy.
  • Prepare and verify accounts payable payments, including generating payment files and issuing cheques.
  • Maintain accounts payable systems and perform General Ledger reconciliations.
  • Address vendor and staff inquiries to ensure high-quality customer service.
  • Conduct monthly and yearly reconciliations, journal entries, and audit preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and financial regulations.

Accounts Payable Clerk Qualifications:

  • Minimum two-year community college diploma in accounting or business administration.
  • At least one year of accounting experience, preferably in accounts payable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams) and knowledge of Great Plains.
  • Strong mathematical, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Valid 'G' Ontario driver's license and access to a reliable transportation.
