Description

We are seeking a Casual Direct Care Facilitator for a home care program for female and female-identifying youth (ages 12-18) who have been sex trafficked or commercially exploited.

This role involves providing supervision, relational care, and individualized support while fostering a trauma-informed, survivor-centred environment. Shift work includes days, nights, holidays, and weekends at a confidential location in Peterborough County (valid G driver’s license and reliable transportation required).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide relational care and supervision, ensuring safety and well-being.
  • Use trauma-informed and harm-reduction approaches to support youth.
  • Facilitate community connections and pro-social activities.
  • Conduct ongoing observations, reporting, and crisis intervention as needed.
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team (social workers, nurses, supervisors).

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Child and Youth Care, Social Services, Mental Health, or related fields (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Experience in child welfare, youth justice, or anti-human trafficking settings is an asset.
  • Minimum 60 hours of work every 3 months required.
  • Valid G driver’s license, immunization records
  • First Voice/Survivor experience considered in place of formal education.
