Graphic Design for Printed Materials

We are seeking a creative and experienced Graphic Designer for a sign shop in the Peterborough area.

As a Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in bringing visual concepts to life, transforming ideas into eye-catching signage that captivates our clients and leaves a lasting impression.

Responsibilities (not exhaustive):

• Conceptualize and design innovative and visually appealing signage solutions
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand design objectives
• Utilize graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CorelDRAW) to create and manipulate graphics, illustrations, and layouts for various types of signage.
• Prepare print-ready files, ensuring accuracy and adherence to print specifications.
• Collaborate with the production team to oversee the quality and consistency of the final output.
• Knowledge of various sign materials and substrates, considering their properties and suitability for different applications.
• Consult with clients to understand their design preferences, provide design recommendations, and present mock-ups for approval.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably with a focus on signage or related industries.
• A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects.
• Proficient in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite and CorelDRAW.
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality designs.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to adapt to evolving design trends and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
