Description
We are hiring a Business Development Specialist to sell two small to medium-sized businesses—a bakery and a grocery shop—to prospective buyers. Based in Peterborough, this role covers a large territory and requires travel, including overnight stays as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage potential buyers for the bakery and grocery shop
- Conduct market research, generate leads, and develop sales strategies
- Present business opportunities, financials, and key selling points to prospects
- Negotiate terms and facilitate the sales process from inquiry to closing
- Build and maintain relationships with investors, entrepreneurs, and industry contacts
- Work closely with legal, financial, and operational teams to ensure smooth transactions
Requirements:
- Experience in business sales, commercial real estate, or a related field
- Strong negotiation, prospecting, and deal-closing skills
- Ability to travel extensively, including overnight stays when required
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Salary: $55,000 + commission, bonuses & benefits
