Financial Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Financial Assistant in the Orillia area.
On the job, the successful candidate will support a finance team with daily administrative and accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, experience with financial software, and excellent organizational skills. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with reporting and budget preparation.
Financial Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Maintain and reconcile financial records and ledgers
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts
- Coordinate with other departments to gather financial data
- Perform general administrative duties related to finance operations
Financial Assistant Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
